My new room

So you know how Patrick has been writing music all year and getting it ready so he can give it to some people, to see if he can go to their school?

Well he did it! After all that banging on the piano, blowing on the big metal dog whistle

And

torturing us with the screeching cat guitar

He went to the school and they let him in and

he saw the head master and gave him music.  All with an hour to spare on the last day it could be handed in!

Mum was so happy because Patrick had slept in and missed his bus and then he had to go to dads school and there was alot of running around but it all meant that mum didnt have to take extra pills.

Then he came back from Sydney and told mum he was moving to Sydney.

Initially mum took it very well and only has a little cry.
She knew it was going to happen one day and the she went all sentimental

She said it seems like only minutes that he was a  baby

Then a toddler and Joseph was born.

Then a school boy.

It was just all yesterday to her . Time goes by too fast.

And she cried few more tears.

Then she thought,

"I wonder what the Oppies are like in Redfern?"

"I wonder what the coffee shops are  like in Redern?"

And then she started looking at it more positiviely and how this was going to be one of the best times of Patricks life and how much fun  she had being anonymous and single in Sydney and what and extraordinary times she has to look back on and after all you can only take you memories with you when your going  and .......................................

how she had even MORE reasons to do the rounds of the oppies

But the old duffer forgot the best bit.

I wont have to sleep on the loung any more!!!!!!!

  I get my own room.

Remember Patrick my old mattress is always here for you.
